Steph's experience

Although initially very intimidating and nerve wracking the support and help from the Creative Edinburgh and Creative Informatics team was really valuable.

I was able to adapt my presentation and play a video so I didn't have to worry too much about how my overwhelm might affect my ability to speak on the day.

Being autistic and attending events like this can be really challenging but the adjustments and set up of the event was really well considered. They had clear signage, helpful staff and tv's displaying live captioning from the speakers.

Although seemingly small it really did make a difference. And served as a great reminder of how important good accessibility is, as if we can't attend the events discussing access how can we improve access!

(Nothing about us without us).
